Job summary

Essex Meadows seeks a Housekeeper in Essex, CT for a full-time 40-hour work week, including weekends, holidays, and events as needed. The role involves cleaning resident apartments, common areas, and the healthcare center, with a focus on a safe and welcoming living environment for residents.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three to six months’ housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general housekeeping duties in apartments, such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces.
• Performs general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by supervisor.
• Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Responsible for performing a variety of housekeeping and laundry functions to maintain an attractive, clean, and comfortable environment to meet the needs of residents.

Our Housekeepers are responsible for the cleanliness and neatness of our resident private apartment homes, common areas throughout the community, and our healthcare center, as applicable.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Housekeeper:
