Job summary

McCollister’s in Maryland Heights, MO is seeking a Shipping/Driver Assistant to plan and execute orders, assist drivers, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will help with paperwork and communicate with customers and dispatchers.

This role requires strong communication, organization, teamwork, and a proactive problem‑solver attitude. You should be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work on-site with United Van Lines.

Plan and execute assigned orders to exceed customer expectations, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain profitability for McCollister’s and its members.

Works directly for the driver. Provides assistance with pick up and delivery services for a variety of household and household goods commodities. Strives to satisfy customers by providing individualized service according to established plans. Identifies customer service problems to the driver and dispatcher for resolution. Assists driver with completing paperwork and communicating with customers and dispatchers.

Experience

• Experience working in the household moving industry preferred, but willing to train on the job
• Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing
• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• Candidate must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
