Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is seeking a PRN House Supervisor to oversee all house-wide functions during assigned shifts. You will guide nursing staff to deliver patient-centered care, enforce policies, and coordinate care across departments.

The role requires an RN license, an associate degree or diploma, and 5+ years of clinical practice. BLS is required, with a preference for a Bachelor’s in Nursing. This PRN position supports our dedicated hospital team.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Active RN license in state(s) of practice.
• 5+ years of clinical practice experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all house-wide functions during the designated shift.
• Direct staff and manage patient care decisions per policies.
• Coordinate nursing care to meet patient and family needs.
• Act as authority in absence of nursing management.
• Direct staff in emergencies and ensure safety.
• Support achievement of benchmarks and accreditations.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
• Manage admissions and discharges for throughput and care.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care across departments.
