Job summary

Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a House Supervisor to lead and coordinate all house-wide functions on a designated shift. The role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care and active participation in the nursing management team.

You will assign staff to clinical areas, manage admissions/discharges, coordinate care across departments, and serve as a resource for employee health issues while responding to emergency codes. RN licensed in NV is required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state(s) of practice.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• 5+ years of clinical practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality, patient-centered care through direction and supervision of all house-wide functions during a designated shift.
• Participate as an active member of the nursing management team and manage activities and personnel in absence of hospital administration.
• Assign nursing staff to specific clinical areas within the hospital to meet patient care needs and adjust staffing as needed.
• Manage admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and coordinate care across departments.
• Act as a resource for employee health issues and respond to all emergency codes within the hospital.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• You will ensure high quality, patient-centered care through direction and supervision of all house-wide functions during a designated shift
• As a House Supervisor, you will participate as an active member of the nursing management team and assumes authority to manage all activities and personnel in conjunction with and in the absence of hospital administration
• You will assign nursing staff to specific clinical areas within the hospital to meet patient care needs and adjust staffing by reassigning staff, assigning PRN and agency personnel, and coordinating overtime
• You will manage admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care and facilitate effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments
• You will act as a resource for employee health issues for unit charge nurses/ supervisors and other hospital supervisors and respond to all emergency codes within the hospital

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• 5+ years experience in clinical practice required
