Job summary

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas seeks a PACU Nurse Director to lead nursing operations, staffing, and budgeting for the unit, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will drive throughput, coordinate admissions and discharges, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards while fostering accountability and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or clinical specialty.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Active Nevada RN license; BLS and ACLS required.
• 1+ years of applicable nursing leadership experience; 3+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality nursing care with 24/7 unit leadership and budgeting.
• Lead staffing, forecasting, and workflow to optimize patient throughput.
• Ensure policy compliance and regulatory standards across the unit.
• Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives.
• Foster accountability and collaboration to meet facility objectives.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will ensure high quality, patient-centered nursing care through 24/7 responsibility for the operational performance and staffing of the unit/ department, in addition to forecasting, planning and budget monitoring.
• You will foster a culture of accountability and collaboration and support the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.
• You will ensure efficient patient throughput through volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and admission/discharge planning
• You will ensure effective labor management, including position control, scheduling excellence, productivity management , and premium pay utilization, and maintain staffing to ensure appropriate care
• You will stay abreast of legal and regulatory standards and ensure compliance; develop and implement policies, procedures. and practices in compliance with all legal/ regulatory standards

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other clinical specialty required
• Master's Degree preferred
• 1+ years applicable experience required
• 3+ years applicable experience preferred
• Current license as a registered nurse or other licensed clinician in the state of Nevada, in accordance with law and regulation, required
• Basic Life Support required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support required
