Job summary

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital seeks an experienced RN House Supervisor to lead hospital operations during assigned shifts. You will serve as nursing administrator in the absence of senior leadership, coordinating patient flow, staffing resources, and quality initiatives to ensure safe and efficient care.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, 3+ years acute care experience, and ACLS/BLS certifications, with leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license or compact multistate license.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Previous charge nurse/supervisor or nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with hospital operations, staffing management, and patient throughput processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for nursing and ancillary departments during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate staffing assignments and resource allocation to meet patient care needs and productivity standards.
• Collaborate with department leaders, physicians, and care teams to ensure effective patient throughput and bed management.
• Respond to and manage patient, visitor, and staff concerns while promoting service excellence.
• Support clinical decision-making and provide guidance to nursing staff in complex patient care situations.
• Oversee hospital-wide emergency response activities and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Monitor patient care quality indicators, regulatory compliance, and patient safety standards.
• Facilitate communication among interdisciplinary teams to support continuity of care.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and foster accountability and excellence.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Previous charge nurse, supervisor, or nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with hospital operations, staffing management, and patient throughput processes preferred.
