Position Overview:

The House Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of guest floors and public spaces, including fitness centers and meeting rooms. Supports Room Attendants and may assist the Laundry Department. Works under the direction of the Housekeeping management team.

Essential Functions:

  • Cleaning hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairways, and other public areas
  • Floor maintenance including sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing
  • Cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstery, and draperies
  • Dusting furniture and equipment
  • Polishing fixtures and fittings
  • Washing walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, and sills
  • Maintaining cleanliness of restrooms and public areas
  • Empting wastebaskets and trash disposal
  • Stocking linen and supplies, assisting with laundry needs
  • Supporting Room Attendants and handling heavy lifting as needed
  • Maintaining organization and cleanliness of storage areas
  • Assisting with pool maintenance if applicable
  • Using supplies carefully and responsibly
  • Greeting guests courteously and providing area information
  • Organizational skills in cart stocking and timely service
  • Responding promptly to housekeeping requests
  • Using guest names respectfully
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic English communication skills
  • Ability to understand instructions and work effectively in a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts and holidays

Physical Demands:

  • Standing, handling objects, reaching, stooping, walking, climbing, talking, hearing
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing carts up to 200 pounds
  • Visual capabilities for close and distance vision
  • Ability to work under stress and with cleaning chemicals

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience is a plus but not required
