Job summary

Workstream is seeking an Hourly Shift Coordinator to lead a restaurant shift, focusing on sales, profitability, guest service and people & operations. You will support the RGM and AM, manage a team, and drive operational results during assigned shifts.

The role requires 1–2 years of quick-service experience, strong guest service principles, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays. You’ll participate in inventory, coaching, and maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college preferred.
• 1–2 years of quick-service restaurant experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of guest service principles.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follows cash control and security procedures (e.g., safe counting, cash drawers).
• Maintains inventory by performing Daily and Weekly inspections.
• Receives inventory truck orders.
• Motivates Team Members to exceed guest expectations with fast, friendly service.
• Provides coaching and feedback to Team Members to raise performance.
• Directs shift plans and drives operational results.
• Directs preparation and sale of products for prompt delivery within speed guidelines.
• Motivates Team Members on each workstation during shift.
• Reviews restaurant results to identify successes and improvements.
• Upholds operational and brand standards.
• Performs duties of Team Members when necessary.

Job description

The Hourly Shift Coordinator (HSC) is the Shift Leader of the restaurant focused on delivering sales and profit results through profitability, guest service, people & operations. The HSC supports the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and Assistant Manager (AM) in managing the operations during assigned shifts, driving key performance outcomes related to sales, profitability, guest service, and people. The HSC operates under the direction of the RGM and directly manages a shift of Team Members.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• High School Diploma or GED required, 2 years of college preferred
• 1-2 years of previous quick-service restaurant experience
• Demonstrated understanding of guest service principles
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed, for the proper functioning of the restaurant

Responsibilities

• Motivates Team Members during shift on each of the workstations
• Reviews restaurant results to identify successes and areas for improvement
• Ensures that the restaurant upholds operational and brand standards
• Performs duties of the Team Member when necessary
