C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking an energetic Rail Forklift Operator in York, PA to move and rotate pallets, manage inventory, and use RF devices for accurate stocking. The role requires standing, lifting up to 60 lbs, and adherence to safety procedures in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport merchandise to/from receiving dock or reserve slots to proper location in the warehouse.
• Maintain replenishment in the computer using a handheld device when pallets are returned to rack.
• Stack cases and rotate merchandise.
• Refill benches and fill pallet slots.
• Select orders when needed.
• Move/slot finished product from production to designated storage area.
• Pull finished product from storage and load on trailers.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, pack size and description.
• Unload material/product from trailers.
• Utilize technology (voice, RF gun) to select product.
• Complete paperwork on transfer of material.
• Date pallets with current date.
• Inspect equipment operated and change forklift batteries as needed.
• Keep work area clean and sweep floor slots.
• Clean spills and re-work damaged goods.
• Perform sanitation duties when necessary.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Position Overview

As a Rail Forklift Operator, you’ll be part of a productive team, transporting merchandise to, from, and within the warehouse to put away, drop down, and rotate full pallets of stock through the warehouse inventory reserve racks using a sit down Forklift. This is a fast‑paced role, perfect for energetic individuals who are highly organized and like to stay active.

Job Description

Starting rate: $22/hr

Shift: 1st Shift - Monday- Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm

Location: 626 Loucks Mill Road York, PA 17404

• Transport merchandise to/from receiving dock or reserve slots to proper location in the warehouse.
• Maintain the proper replenishment in the computer, using a handheld device, when the pallet is put back in the rack.
• Stack cases and rotate merchandise.
• Refill benches and fill pallet slots.
• Select orders when needed.
• Move/Slot finished product from production to designated storage area.
• Pull finished product from storage and load on trailers.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, pack size and description.

• Complete inspection form on equipment operated.
• Change battery in forklift, when applicable.
• Keep work area clean.
• Sweep floor slots.
• Clean spills and re-work damage.
• Perform sanitation duties when necessary.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
