C&S Wholesale Grocers is hiring a Rail Forklift Operator in York, PA. The role involves moving pallets, stocking the warehouse, and using a sit-down forklift to rotate and place stock in reserve racks.

You will work on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with a starting rate of $22 per hour. The position requires experience with sit-down forklifts, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work well in a team.

Position Overview

As a Rail Forklift Operator, you’ll be part of a productive team, transporting merchandise to, from, and within the warehouse to put away, drop down, and rotate full pallets of stock through the warehouse inventory reserve racks using a sit down Forklift. This is a fast‑paced role, perfect for energetic individuals who are highly organized and like to stay active.

Job Description

Starting rate: $22/hr

Shift: 1st Shift - Monday- Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm

Location: 626 Loucks Mill Road York, PA 17404

• Transport merchandise to/from receiving dock or reserve slots to proper location in the warehouse.
• Maintain the proper replenishment in the computer, using a handheld device, when the pallet is put back in the rack.
• Stack cases and rotate merchandise.
• Refill benches and fill pallet slots.
• Select orders when needed.
• Move/Slot finished product from production to designated storage area.
• Pull finished product from storage and load on trailers.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, pack size and description.
• Unload material/product from trailers.
• Utilize necessary technology (e.g., voice, RF gun) to select product.
• Complete paperwork on transfer of material.
• Date pallets with current date.
• Complete inspection form on equipment operated.
• Change battery in forklift, when applicable.
• Keep work area clean.
• Sweep floor slots.
• Clean spills and re-work damage.
• Perform sanitation duties when necessary.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
