Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks an accounting professional for the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor location. The role focuses on Night Audit activities, accounts payable, and city ledger duties within a busy hotel environment.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, hotel accounting experience, and strong organizational and communication skills. You will maintain accurate records, reconcile statements, and support the Controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
• Hotel accounting experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to compile facts and figures.
• Proficient with PC and calculator; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort and verify Night Audit work including receivables reconciliation.
• Post city ledger payments in PMS; reconcile and bill city ledger accounts.
• Reconcile credit card backups to General Cashier Summary and maintain logs.
• Set up new accounts per policy.
• Assist in reconciling open account status items.
• Input General Cashier Summary and maintain binder.
• File and distribute credit card cancellations and process returned checks.
• Verify purchasing procedures against invoices and maintain PO log.
• Process approved invoices for payment with proper signatures.
• Pay hotel invoices timely and reconcile discounts.
• Interface checks and log manual checks to Controller.
• Adhere to attendance rules and perform other duties.
