Crescent Hotels is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Controller in daily and monthly accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reports, and compliance with tax and audit requirements. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and uphold financial integrity for a hotel operation in NYC.

Key duties include preparing financial reports, performing cashier audits, reconciling daily income, handling month-end journal entries, supporting accounts

Qualifikationen

• A minimum of 2 years of related progressive experience in related field.
• Experience working in hospitality industry preferred

Aufgaben

• Assist in preparing reports that summarize, forecast, and analyze hotel business activity and financial position.
• Assist with cashier audits and ensure accuracy.
• Complete Daily Income Journal Reconciliation balancing to PMS / POS Reports
• Prepares month-end journal entries for Assistant Controller / Controller review
• Provide support for accounts payable during vacancies or absences.
• Perform various accounting office tasks as assigned.
• Distribute weekly General Ledger detail reports to department managers.
• Review and reconcile contract labor in Work Records if applicable
• Process individual Travel Agent commissions and submit to TACS / AP.
• Balance A/P Open Items report weekly before check runs.
• Review Tax Exemptions
