Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Controller in daily and monthly accounting tasks and ensure accurate financial records for the hotel in New York City. The role emphasizes attention to detail, collaboration, and compliance with tax and audit requirements.

Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing reconciliations, assisting with accounts payable, and processing travel agent commissions.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in hospitality accounting preferred.

• Review and reconcile contract labor in Work Records if applicable.
• Process Travel Agent commissions and submit to TACS / AP.
• Balance A/P Open Items report weekly before check runs.
• Review Tax Exemptions.

What will you be doing?

The Staff Accountant supports the Controller in executing daily and monthly accounting functions. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with tax and audit requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to upholding the financial integrity of the hotel.
