Job summary

Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans is seeking a Shift Engineer to support the PM shift, including weekends and holidays. You will maintain building systems and hotel facilities to ensure guest experiences are seamless.

The ideal candidate holds a valid 2nd Class Boiler’s License and an associate degree, with at least two years in an upscale hotel. Strong English communication and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college.
• A valid 2nd Class Engineer Boiler’s License issued by the City of New Orleans.
• Minimum two years of experience in an upscale hotel.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Attend to maintenance issues in hotel suites, public areas, recreational facilities, lobby and restaurant.
• Maintain HVAC equipment, washer/dryer, refrigeration and ice machines units.
• Conduct swimming pool testing and maintenance.
• Maintain central mechanical systems including exhaust fans.
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Work with other departments to address maintenance priorities.
• Other Engineering duties as assigned.
