Job summary

Magnolia St. Louis is seeking a Second Shift Hotel Engineer to keep our guest experience running smoothly. You will maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general hotel systems, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and safety.

The role requires strong hands-on skills, ability to read blueprints or manuals, and the capability to work independently within the engineering team. You must communicate in English, perform math calculations, and adapt to changing priorities in

Qualifications

English communication with guests and staff.
Legible written communication.
Compute basic mathematical calculations.
Perform basic plumbing and HVAC techniques.
Properly and safely use hand and power tools.
Perform job functions with minimal supervision.
Think clearly under pressure or emergencies.
Adapt to priority changes of work flow.
Work cohesively as a team member.
Work in and around the public in a positive and professional manner.

Responsibilities

Must participate in the preventive maintenance program and be familiar with its purpose and machinery.
Climb ladders, be in good physical condition, use all tools safely, and follow safety rules.
Correct hazardous conditions hotel-wide and inspect as needed.
Be a member of the Fire and Emergency Rescue Team and learn duties.
Maintain housekeeping and cosmetics in areas supervised by Engineering.
Participate in departmental problem solving teams.
