Job summary

The Security Officer at Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is responsible for safeguarding guests, employees and hotel assets across our properties. You will enforce safety procedures, respond to incidents, and support fire prevention and emergency readiness.

Duties include patrols, investigations, preventing losses, and assisting guests with safety inquiries while maintaining a warm Sonesta experience. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures (fire, crowd control, inclement weather).
• Capability to communicate clearly with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients.
• Perform hotel security functions including fire prevention and safety checks.
• Investigate thefts, accidents, and incidents on the property.
• Prevent losses of company and guest property from theft and other crimes.
• Monitor activities to detect and counter criminal activity and secure facilities during non-operating hours.
