Job summary

Loews Kansas City Hotel is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to safeguard guests, team members, and property. You will patrol the property, control access, and respond to emergencies with guided procedures to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

The role requires a calm, proactive mindset, strong observation, and clear communication to address incidents and protect guests and colleagues across varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel security or related field (1-3 years preferred).
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and emergency response protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to team member entrances, ensuring a secure environment.
• Perform regular patrols to identify safety hazards and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Respond to emergencies per established procedures to safeguard lives and property.
• Maintain logs for visitor access and package removal.
• Inspect packages entering and exiting the premises to prevent unauthorized items.
• Document incidents and actions taken for transparency and accountability.
• Enforce hotel policies to foster safety and respect.
• Interact professionally with guests and team members to enhance the experience.
• Monitor CCTV and report suspicious activities promptly.
• Coordinate with management on maintenance issues related to safety.
• Handle lost and found items to uphold hotel standards.
• Participate in health and safety training initiatives and attend mandatory sessions.
