Sonesta International Hotels in New Orleans seeks a Security Officer responsible for the safety of guests, employees and visitors. You will protect assets, enforce security policies, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Duties include fire prevention, investigations, and incident resolution to maintain a secure hotel environment. The role requires patrolling, door/window checks, and cooperation with staff across all departments to uphold Sonesta’s service standards and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance is required.
• Adhere to grooming standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Understand and execute safety and emergency procedures.
• Ability to use emergency equipment.
• Strong communication with guests and staff.
• Read and write effectively.
• Must work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Provide high level customer service and interaction with guests.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions, following the G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Perform security functions including fire prevention and safety checks.
• Investigate thefts, accidents, and incidents on the property.
• Prevent losses of company and guest property due to theft or crime.
• Ensure a safe and tranquil environment for guests and employees.
• Assist guests and colleagues with safety-related inquiries.
• Complete incident forms and reports; document issues in a timely manner.
• Report deficiencies to appropriate departments for immediate repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
