Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation is seeking a Hotel Food Server for its Kotzebue location. The role greets guests, seats parties, takes orders, and helps ensure an unforgettable dining experience by making recommendations and communicating allergies to the kitchen.

You will present menus, relay orders, serve courses, assist with beverage service, and handle billing at the end of meals. Our environment is on-site in a hotel restaurant with moderate noise and a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Some prior customer service experience or training.
• Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Responsibilities

• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
• Writes order on check or memorizes it.
• Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
• Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
• Totals up bills and accepts payments, or refers patron to Cashier.
• Brews coffee, preps and serves beverages.
• Clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course.
• May assist others in basic food production or other food service activities.
• May break down and clean service lines as well as clean a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
