Job summary

Salisbury & Moore Construction is seeking an Estimating & Preconstruction Specialist to support hotel renovation bids. You’ll work with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to build bids from the ground up by collecting RFPs, defining scope, performing takeoffs, and soliciting quotes.

You will create bid packages in Procore, coordinate pre-bid meetings, import drawings into PlanSwift, and guide the bid team to timely, accurate submissions.

Qualifications

• Strong math skills including geometry and arithmetic.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and plans.
• Capable of handling multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Close attention to detail in all bid documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative work style with bid teams and project staff.

Responsibilities

• Create bid projects in Procore and upload documents and specs.
• Review RFPs and plot milestones on Outlook calendar for the team.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and coordinate kickoff with bid team.
• Import drawings to PlanSwift and distribute sheets to the bid group.
• Create Bid Packages in Procore and manage subcontractor distribution.
• Capture project scope with keynote references and specs on bid forms.
• Quantify materials and work using PlanSwift and Excel take-offs.
• Coordinate bid reviews with PMs and owners, updating documents as needed.
