Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation in Milpitas, CA is seeking a proactive House Attendant to support our housekeeping team. You will help maintain clean public areas, assist room attendants, and ensure the property stays guest-ready in a fast-paced environment.

This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail, with mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays required. Pay ranges from $22.50 to $23.00 per hour, plus benefits and hotel discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, hospitality, hotel, janitorial, facilities, cleaning, or operational experience preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to support the team wherever needed.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, chemical handling, and hotel safety practices preferred.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and operational support as needed.
• A passion for hospitality, teamwork, cleanliness, and creating exceptional guest experiences behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across hotel public spaces.
• Deliver linens, towels, amenities, supplies throughout the property.
• Assist Room Attendants and housekeeping leadership with operations and room readiness.
• Remove trash, soiled linens, and debris from guest floors and spaces.
• Maintain housekeeping closets, storage rooms, linen areas, and carts.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and housekeeping calls.
• Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards.
• Follow sanitation procedures and safety policies.
• Support VIP arrivals, group bookings, and event setup as needed.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and Operations teams.
• Help create clean, welcoming spaces aligned with Sonesta’s People People philosophy.
• Any other duties as assigned.
