Job summary

J&P Hospitality Management, LLC is seeking a Public Spaces Attendant (Custodian) to maintain the hotel’s public areas, laundry facilities, and exterior grounds. You’ll clean lobbies and restrooms, assist with laundry, and help prepare rooms for guest check-ins.

This part-time, non-exempt role requires English literacy, reliability, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. On-site location, training provided, and safety guidelines followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in custodial/housekeeping is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• E-Verify employment verification is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all public areas including lobbies, restrooms, hallways, stairwells, and shared spaces.
• Wash, dry, and fold laundry to support housekeeping operations.
• Assist with preparing guest rooms for check-in with the housekeeping team.
• Maintain cleanliness of exterior grounds and respond to safety concerns.
• Monitor areas for safety hazards and report issues promptly.
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing bulbs and unclogging drains.
• Follow safety guidelines and use cleaning products appropriately.
