Job summary

The Public Spaces Attendant (Custodian) at J&P Hospitality/Asset Management is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the hotel's public areas, including lobbies, restrooms, laundry facilities, and exterior grounds.

You will support laundry operations, assist with preparing guest rooms for check-in, and respond promptly to emergencies to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Employment is subject to E-Verify verification.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all public areas, including lobbies, restrooms, hallways, and other shared spaces.
• Wash, dry, and fold laundry as needed to support housekeeping operations.
• Assist with preparing guest rooms for check-in by supporting the housekeeping team.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of exterior grounds (e.g., trash, walkways, dumpster area).
• Monitor common areas for safety hazards and report issues to the General Manager.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including alarms, leaks, or outages.
• Perform light maintenance tasks as trained and directed.
