Job summary

Cliff House Maine in Cape Neddick, ME is seeking a skilled maintenance painter responsible for painting, wallcovering work and completing maintenance orders from all departments.

You will participate in the preventive maintenance program, maintain tools and safety standards, and assist with special projects as directed by the Director of Engineering.

5 years of commercial painting experience and knowledge of different paints, wall coverings and finishes are required; fluent English is expected.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as commercial painter.
• Knowledge of paints and their applications.
• Knowledge of wall coverings (wallpaper, vinyl coverings, etc.).
• Knowledge of stains and finishes.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in painting and maintenance.
• Ability to handle chemicals safely and dispose of them properly.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal.

• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper use and care of painting tools and equipment.
• Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and maintain positive guest relations.
• Resolve guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.

• Review daily work assignments and prioritize tasks.
• Perform general maintenance to guestrooms and public areas.
• Assist other engineering personnel as needed.
• Attend department meetings and contribute safety ideas.
