Job summary

The Spokane Club is seeking an attentive Overnight Front Desk Associate in Spokane, WA to greet guests, process check-ins/outs, and manage reservations during the 10:00pm–6:00am shift. You will handle phone inquiries, maintain lobby security, and coordinate with housekeeping and engineering as needed, delivering excellent service with a professional appearance and calm demeanor throughout the night.

Part-time role with a salary range of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, typically 3 nights per week,

Qualifications

• Previous Front Desk experience in a hotel preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written form.
• Good with math.
• Must have the ability to work overnight.
• Must have the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greets everyone entering the Spokane Club in a professional, friendly manner, with a high level of customer service, and assists them with their requests.
• Professionally administers incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette and redirecting when appropriate.
• Uses club software to create and manage hotel reservations.
• Processes member/guest check-ins and check-outs.
• Coordinates room status updates with housekeeping and engineering as needed.
• Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk, lobby, and coat check areas.

This is a part-time 3 night a week position, although more shifts may be available as well.

Hours are from 10:00pm - 6:00am

Job Description

This person helps our members and guests during the overnight hours of 10:00pm-6:00am. They greet members and guests as they enter the Club, records and reconciles charges from the previous day, and ensures the security of the building’s main entrance and lobby area. This position has frequent contact with a wide range of personalities, so part of job performance requires that you utilize excellent interpersonal skills to provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a positive, helpful attitude. The night auditor will demonstrate a commitment to competence, job knowledge, Club knowledge, pride, professional appearance, courtesy, and extra effort.

Duties and Responsibilities for all Hotel Front Desk staff

• Greets everyone entering the Spokane Club in a professional, friendly manner, with a high level of customer service, and assists them with their requests
• Professionally administers incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette and redirecting when appropriate
• Uses club software to create and manage hotel reservations
• Complies with special requests whenever possible
• Stays informed about Club-related information and communicates it professionally and enthusiastically.
• Thoroughly understands and follows proper credit, cash-checking, and cash handling policies and procedures
• Understands and monitors room status information, including room locations, type of rooms available, and room rates
• Coordinates room status update by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early-ins, special requests, etc.
• Manages room keys and follows security control procedures
• Operates Front Office equipment, such as ID card creator, mail machine, fax, copier, parking gates, etc.
• Processes member/guest check-ins and check-out
• Processes mail, packages, and messages
• Coordinates guestroom maintenance work with engineering
• Reports unusual occurrences or requests to the Hotel Operations Manager
• Knows and follows all safety, security, accident prevention, and emergency policies and procedures
• Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk, lobby, and coat check areas
• Acts as bell person/concierge when necessary
• Other duties as assigned
