Job summary

Concord Hospitality, managing the Courtyard Akron Downtown, seeks an Assistant General Manager to support daily hotel operations, guest and employee satisfaction, and financial performance. Working with the General Manager, you will implement property-wide strategies and brand service initiatives to exceed guest expectations.

Lead with integrity, care for your team and their families, and ensure brand standards, safety, and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of hospitality management experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, budgets, and financial reporting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure brand standards are maintained across all hotel areas.
• Oversee operations of all hotel departments.
• Ensure safe working environment in compliance with OSHA/MSDS.
• Assist and approve department managers’ scheduling against guest and hours/occupied room goals.
• Support guest satisfaction scores and strategies for improvement.
• Provide excellent customer service and be approachable to guests.
• Assist managers in proactive hiring and staffing levels.
