Job summary

InnVentures is seeking an Operations Manager at Hyatt House Portland Downtown to lead multiple departments, hire and develop staff, and ensure smooth, guest‑centric service in a fast‑paced environment.

You will oversee scheduling, inventory, financial reporting, and adherence to brand standards while delivering exceptional experiences and cost control. This hands‑on leadership role requires strong communication and adaptability, with long hours as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of progressive hotel or related industry experience.
• Previous supervisory responsibilities.
• Proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
• Must communicate effectively with employees and guests.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions.
• Maintain high grooming standards and professional appearance.
• Ability to protect confidential information.
• Willing to work long hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and mentor staff across multiple departments.
• Support staff and ensure attentive, efficient guest service.
• Engage guests to solicit feedback about their stay.
• Resolve guest and employee issues using effective problem solving.
• Ensure quality and brand standards across operations.
• Maintain safety, productivity, and compliance with procedures.
• Oversee supplies, inventory, and department expenses.
• Maintain daily cash control and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet guest requests.
• Support hotel goals through teamwork.
