Job summary

InnVentures, operating Hyatt House Portland Downtown in Portland, OR, seeks an Operations Manager to lead multiple departments with hands-on leadership. You will hire, train, coach, and mentor staff to deliver attentive, efficient service while maintaining brand standards and safety. Responsible for cost control, inventory, and guest feedback to maximize guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
Previous supervisory responsibilities.
Proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing with employees and guests.

Responsibilities

Hire, train, coach, schedule and mentor employees in multiple departments.
Support employees and fill in as needed to ensure guests receive attentive and efficient service.
Proactively engage with guests to seek feedback about their stay.
Resolve guest and employee issues using problem-solving skills to satisfaction.
Inspect work to ensure quality aligns with brand standards and safety practices.
Oversee inventory, ordering, and receiving of supplies for departments.
Monitor departmental expenses and labor costs; manage daily cash control and reporting.
