Job summary

ARK in Kansas City, MO seeks a Hotel Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations with minimal supervision, applying sound judgment to optimize guest experiences and team performance.

The role requires 24-hour availability and hands-on involvement in payroll, budgeting, maintenance planning, events, room bookings, and safety training to protect our standards and drive revenues. You will walk the property during shifts to set priorities and mentor staff across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret business materials, write professional correspondence, and deliver presentations.

• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Proficiency in internet software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Be present on property during shifts to communicate priorities and equip the team for success.
• Handle guest complaints and queries promptly and professionally to uphold service excellence.
• Plan maintenance work, events, and room bookings.
• Coordinate maintenance, events, and bookings to optimize guest satisfaction.
• Perform payroll, banking deposits, budgeting understanding, and follow up on safety training and operational checklists.
