Job summary

St. James Hotel in Selma, AL, managed by SPIRE Hospitality, seeks an experienced General Manager to lead daily operations and guest experiences.

You will oversee service quality, staff leadership, financial controls, and compliance with policies, ensuring consistent excellence across all departments. You will guide the team, oversee budgeting and payroll, and maintain strong guest relations to foster loyalty and repeat business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years hotel management experience.
• Experience with PMS systems and MS Office.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze guest feedback and coach staff to improve service delivery.
• Oversee accounting, auditing, and payroll records as directed by Corporate Office.
• Communicate clearly and foster collaboration across departments.
• Supervise cost and inventory controls to meet budget goals.
• Maintain composure and apply sound judgment in emergencies.
• Collaborate with General Manager to set policies and drive profitability.
• Plan and participate in hotel meetings to drive improvements.
