Job description

The Night Auditor will be responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Audit responsibilities include balancing duties, completing daily paperwork, and preparing shift reports. During these duties, the Night Auditor will attend to guest needs such as check-ins, check-outs, making reservations, and answering guest questions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Proactively ensure guest security and create a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
2. Count cash and maintain the accuracy of the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
3. Check the front desk log for issues, special requests, and updates.
4. Greet guests, register them, and assign rooms.
5. Process guest registrations, including payment collection.
6. Prepare express checkout folios.
7. Maintain room status inventory.
8. Communicate shift information to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other staff.
9. Maintain cleanliness of the lobby and bathrooms as needed.
10. Ensure smooth shift transitions by communicating pertinent information to the following shift.
11. Collaborate with all hotel departments to ensure high-quality customer service.
12. Answer inquiries regarding hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
13. Complete all required shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
