Job summary

Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Meridian is seeking a dependable Maintenance Worker to join our Engineering Team. This hands-on role supports daily hotel operations, performs routine and preventative maintenance, and helps ensure a safe, clean guest environment.

You will assist HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general building repairs, respond to maintenance requests, inspect guest rooms and public areas, and collaborate with vendors while upholding Marriott standards and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general building repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and guest needs.
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building repairs.
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms and suites, public areas, meeting spaces, fitness areas, indoor pool areas, back-of-house areas, and exterior spaces.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, appliances, and hotel equipment.
• Complete assigned maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist the Engineering team with preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled projects.
• Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Communicate maintenance concerns, safety issues, and equipment problems to the Engineering leadership team.
• Assist with property improvement projects, repairs, inspections, and renovations as needed.
• Support outside vendors and contractors while working on hotel property.
• Assist with maintaining the indoor pool, fitness center, meeting areas, guest laundry, and other hotel facilities in good working condition.
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service.
• Help ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning property that exceeds guest expectations.

Pay Range: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour (Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and overall experience)
