Job summary

Hampton Inn & Suites Gulfport, part of Ascent Hospitality, is seeking a dependable Maintenance Worker to join our Engineering Team. This role focuses on routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning hotel that delivers an exceptional guest experience.

Join us in Gulfport, MS, and help maintain guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, indoor pool, fitness center, and other hotel spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and guest needs.
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building repairs.
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, indoor pool areas, fitness areas, and exterior spaces.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, appliances, and hotel equipment.
• Complete assigned maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist the Engineering team with preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled projects.
• Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Communicate maintenance concerns, safety issues, and equipment problems to the Engineering leadership team.
• Assist with property improvement projects, repairs, inspections, and renovations as needed.
• Support outside vendors and contractors while working on hotel property.
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service.
• Help ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning property that exceeds guest expectations.

Pay Range:Starting at $17.00 per hour (Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and overall experience)
