Job summary

Excel Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Associate to keep the hotel, its property and grounds in excellent working order. You will perform routine upkeep and respond to maintenance requests to ensure guest comfort.

Responsibilities include refurbishing furniture, painting and finishing fixtures, maintaining entry areas, and following safety and inventory procedures. The role requires 1–2 years of related experience and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years related work experience
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours in a day
• Must be able to follow verbal directions and complete tasks on schedule

Responsibilities

• Approaches all encounters with guest and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
• Complies with company, hotel, and brand standards which encourage a safe and efficient hotel operation
• Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within guest rooms, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters
• Paints, stains, and/or finishes furniture and fixture within the hotel
• Maintains front entrance area, ensuring the parking lot and/or garage and street entrance are kept presentable to guests and free from trash, litter and debris
• Follows pre-established procedures which ensure the security of inventory and par levels of company assets
• Reports all lost and found items according to the standard established
• Reports all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to the General Manager
