Job summary

Excel Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Associate to help keep the hotel, property and grounds in top working order. You will be responsible for upkeep and minor refurbishments to guest rooms and common areas.

The role requires 1-2 years related experience, ability to stand/walk 8 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and follow directions. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related work experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours in a day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Approaches all encounters with guest and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Complies with company, hotel, and brand standards which encourage a safe and efficient hotel operation.
• Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within guest rooms, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters.
• Paints, stains, and/or finishes furniture and fixtures within the hotel.
• Maintains front entrance area, ensuring the parking lot and/or garage and street entrance are kept presentable to guests and free from trash, litter and debris.
• Follows pre-established procedures which ensure the security of inventory and par levels of company assets such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, televisions, etc.
• Reports all “lost and found” items according to the standard established.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to the General Manager
