Job summary

Excel Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Associate to help keep the hotel, property, and grounds in good working order. The role involves servicing guest rooms, lobby areas, and exterior spaces, while upholding brand standards, safety, and efficient operation.

The position requires 1-2 years of related experience, physical ability to stand/walk all day and lift up to 50 lbs, and the ability to follow directions and complete tasks on schedule.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related work experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours in a day; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow verbal directions, and complete assigned tasks on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Approaches all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Complies with company, hotel, and brand standards which encourage a safe and efficient hotel operation.
• Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within guest rooms; cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters.
• Paints, stains, and finishes furniture and fixture within the hotel.
• Maintains front entrance area; parking lot/garage and street entrance kept presentable and free from trash.
• Follows procedures to ensure security of inventory and par levels of assets.
• Reports all lost and found items as per standards.
• Reports unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to the General Manager.
