Job summary

Olympia Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Person to protect our guests' comfort by performing preventative maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment. You will respond to requests, inspect building systems, keep accurate records, and coordinate with teams during emergencies, renovations, or upgrades, ensuring safety and uptime.

Qualifications

• Provide high-level customer service, communicate effectively with guests and team members, follow instructions, ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure when working under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on building systems, equipment, and machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to identify issues and implement effective repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, staff, and management, and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact on operations.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of building systems, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, elevators, and generators, to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, maintenance activities, and equipment performance to facilitate tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate with other departments and external contractors as needed to address emergency repairs and ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
• Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks to upkeep the appearance and functionality of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Assist with renovations, remodeling projects, and equipment upgrades to enhance the overall guest experience and maintain the competitiveness of our property.
