Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to join our Evanston property. You will support general maintenance, electrical checks, HVAC, and equipment repairs to uphold high standards of guest experience.

With at least three years in hotel or building maintenance, you will be a reliable team member who collaborates with colleagues to ensure safety and quality. This unionized role offers steady on-site work and opportunities across our Crescent properties.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in general hotel, apartment or building maintenance is required.
• Painting, plumbing and electrical work experience highly preferred.
• Certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete report work orders (replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis (e.g., room care).
• Assist in checking electrical systems and make minor repairs or replacements.
• Assist in routine repairs and major repairs of hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen, laundry and boilers.
• Service the hotel's pool, adjust chemicals and clean filters; log maintenance requests.
• Maintain building exterior and curb appeal (snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening).
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms; paint and finish as needed.
• Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures; operate tools and machinery.
