Job summary

The Cliffs Hotel & Spa on the Central Coast seeks an entry-level Engineer I to maintain interior and exterior areas and handle basic hotel equipment repairs under the Chief Engineer. The role emphasizes quality upkeep, safety, and guest comfort across all property zones.

Responsibilities include responding to maintenance requests, performing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks, painting, and operating power tools. Onsite schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 1-2 years of hotel engineering experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc).
• Good command of English language.
• Ability to multitask and work in mentally demanding situations.
• Must be able to communicate and work effectively with co-workers in all departments.

Responsibilities

• Onsite work only.
• Inspects hotel grounds and takes action daily for cleanliness, general repair issues, and trash pickup.
• Maintains the exterior of the hotel property including trimming hedges, repairing fences, trash pickup, etc.
