Job summary

Drury Inn & Suites in Champaign, IL is hiring for a Maintenance Tech I position. Maintain a safe, well‑run hotel property, perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more, and deliver +1 Service to guests and team members.

You will train staff, implement safety programs, and collaborate with management on staffing. Excellent English communication and flexible availability for emergency repairs are required.

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with the ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance.
• Ability to speak, write, and receive direction in English.
• Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs for safety and compliance.
• Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing.
• Flexibility to be available for emergency repairs.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety and ergonomic programs; ensure compliance.
• Keep detailed records and reports.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to recruit, interview, and schedule for department needs.
• Ensure exceptional guest experience with a +1 Service attitude.
