Hilton Garden Inn Chicago North Shore / Evanston is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support hotel facilities with preventative and corrective maintenance. You will troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, perform routine inspections, and respond promptly to guest requests while maintaining safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

1+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in hotel, commercial, or residential facilities.
Strong knowledge of general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
Familiarity with safety procedures and maintenance protocols.
Dependable and able to prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repair on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems.
Conduct daily property walk-throughs and complete inspection checklists.
Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop and storage areas.
Support safety and emergency procedures (fire alarms, pool chemicals).
Monitor and log energy and utility usage.
Ensure all work complies with Hilton brand standards and local safety codes.
Assist in renovation and upgrade projects as needed.
