Job summary

Harmony Hospitality is hiring a Maintenance Worker for the Holiday Inn in Virginia Beach, VA. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing and cleaning mechanical areas and equipment, while assisting other trade mechanics to ensure a safe, clean and well-maintained hotel.

The position requires basic knowledge across plumbing, carpentry, electrical and painting, plus the ability to use basic hand and electric tools.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of skilled trade activities in plumbing, carpentry, electrical and mechanical work and painting.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Skill in the use of a variety of skilled trade tools (including both hand and electric tools).
• Basic English language communication and mathematical skills to understand instructions and perform simple arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Work with all trade mechanics to help with repairs and maintenance.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, with safety and quality in mind.
• Clean and paint mechanical spaces and assist in equipment upkeep.
• Identify color coded components and work at heights when required.
