Job summary

Doubletree by Hilton Virginia Beach is seeking an Engineer to maintain the physical functionality and safety of the hotel and convention centers, ensuring outstanding guest service and profitability.

You will perform repairs across carpentry, tiling, plumbing, electrical work, painting and masonry; respond to guest requests and work orders promptly; and conduct preventive maintenance. 1 year of maintenance experience or an related Associate Degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year building maintenance/engineering experience or an Associate Degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including guest rooms, public spaces and heart-of-the-house areas.
• Respond to guest requests and team member work orders promptly to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment.
• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including carpentry, tiling, plumbing, electrical work, painting and masonry.
• Conduct inspections and perform tasks related to preventive maintenance needs.
• Record and report completed repairs and communicate items that require further attention.
• Additional Task as requested.
