Job summary

Holiday Inn & Suites Virginia Beach – North Beach is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure safe, efficient operation of hotel facilities, equipment and systems. You will support the engineering team, respond to guest requests, and help maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–5 years in building maintenance, with HVAC/mechanical knowledge and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical training in mechanical, electrical, plumbing or HVAC preferred.
• 2–5 years of building maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff promptly.
• Maintain mechanical rooms and equipment areas clean and safe.
• Inspect public areas and facilities daily for maintenance issues.
• Perform repairs on guest rooms, public spaces and offices.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs and record-keeping.
