Job summary

Sunrise Hospitality in Lafayette, Louisiana is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to keep our 94-room hotel operating smoothly and looking its best. You will handle daily work orders, preventative maintenance, and general repairs with a hands-on approach.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, and painting, and can work independently or in a team while communicating clearly with guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and general mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Guest-friendly attitude and professional appearance.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily work orders and preventative maintenance (PMs).
• Maintain hotel pool according to health and safety standards.
• Perform general repairs to a “like new” condition, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, and painting.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of public and exterior areas, including daily trash pickup.
• Prioritize and manage assigned projects with minimal supervision.
• Communicate clearly with guests and staff while providing excellent service.
• Use basic computer skills for maintenance logging and reporting.
