Job summary

Merete Hotel Management seeks a Maintenance Technician to support La Quinta Inn and Suites Springfield, OR. The role focuses on routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to keep the property safe and welcoming.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, quick response to issues, and maintaining guest rooms and public areas. Candidates should have 1–3 years of maintenance experience and relevant skills; pool operation

Qualifications

1-3 years’ maintenance experience in a commercial or residential environment preferred.
Light carpentry and knowledge of paint and wallpaper.
HVAC, plumbing, or electrical skills.
Pool operation certification preferred.
Meet minimum age requirements.
May need a valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair carpet, wall covering, furniture, painted surfaces, change burned out light bulbs and other cosmetic repairs in guest rooms, and public areas.
Maintain and repair equipment in laundry, guest rooms and public areas.
Repair irrigation and sprinkler systems.
Maintain pool and pool area. May include a hot tub.
Inform manager on job status and project status.
Complete other duties as assigned by the General Manager, Area Director of Maintenance, or Area Manager of Maintenance.
