Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician in Fort Lauderdale to inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment. You will work with a team or alone, following health and safety guidelines to keep buildings and common areas in excellent condition.

This role requires flexibility in scheduling and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, guest service, and timely reporting to the management team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment.
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile maintenance.
• Paint, roof repairs, and other exterior maintenance tasks.
• Repair pool and exercise room equipment as needed.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs.
• Monitor consumables stock and replenish as needed.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer to complete technical projects.
• Prepare shift reports for management.
• Respond to hotel exterior maintenance needs in severe weather.
