Job summary

Tandem Hospitality Group in Longmont, CO seeks an Engineer - Hotel Longmont to partner with the Chief Engineer in maintaining the building and guest areas. The role demands a practical, detail-oriented professional who can work autonomously and with the team to keep facilities in top condition and compliant with safety standards.

You will handle electrical, heating, plumbing, carpentry, and preventative maintenance tasks, report issues, and collaborate with Housekeeping to ensure all guest rooms

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of related maintenance experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other building systems.
• General knowledge of maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to Chief Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor
• Survey building and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are compliant with health and safety standards
• Perform maintenance of all electrical systems
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (locks, fixtures, windows)
• Conduct ongoing room preventative maintenance program
• Resolve maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders
• General upkeep (landscaping, caulking, painting)
• Carpentry, painting, drywall and carpet repair work
• Inspect property to identify needs
• Perform tasks assigned by Chief Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure guest rooms equipment functions properly and is part of a preventative maintenance program
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
