Job summary

Hyatt Place Mt. Laurel is seeking a Maintenance Person to sustain the hotel's high standards and guest comfort. The role focuses on general maintenance across guest rooms, meeting spaces and public areas, with attention to safety and quick guest interactions.

Candidates should have at least one year of maintenance experience, strong English communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hotel setting. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have experience repairing mechanical, electrical, kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Customer service experience preferred, preferably in a hotel or related field.
• Must have schedule flexibility for AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Requires strong command of the English language to include speaking, reading and writing.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with guest interaction.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate to heavy amount of weight (minimum of 20 lbs).
• Must possess basic computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs in guest suites, meeting space, and front of house areas.
• Guest suite and public area entry-level preventative maintenance.
• Repair mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable and inviting environment for guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and staff.
