Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel in Novi, Michigan is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the property’s mechanical and electrical systems, FF&E, pool, and grounds. The role requires knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and related trades, with a focus on safety and high-quality service.

The position offers an afternoon shift with an hourly rate starting at $20/hour, and opportunities to contribute to facility efficiency and guest comfort

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Must follow safety procedures and hotel policies.
• Familiarity with HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywalling, and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical or electrical malfunctions in hotel systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a schedule basis.
• Maintains pool and water chemistry; logs maintenance requests.
• Cares for building exterior and grounds to maintain curb appeal.
• Follows safety, security, and fire procedures; reports unsafe conditions.
